Melissa & Dave - Adventures at Sea

Naranjo

This morning we set sail for a small bay called Naranjo.  We are on our way to the Las Perlas Islands, but it’s a multi-hop journey.  The good news was that Dave got the Claro SIM working in our hotspot so we were able to light up the entire boat WiFi with internet today.  Hooray!  Melissa spent much of the day doing research on boat parts we need to get on order.  It was so cool to be able to get work done underway again!  Along the way we saw the biggest dolphins we’ve ever encountered.  Must be a lot for them to eat here!  Wanuskewin sailed the whole day.

The bay here at Naranjo is known for being rolly.  But it’s the only option along this route.  When we first anchored we were rolling a bit so we decided to move over to the next bay.  And besides which Melissa set the anchor before the afternoon rain started.  And that wouldn’t do.  So we decided to move in the pouring rain.  But the next bay over was so rocky that we couldn’t get the anchor to set.  So (in the rain again) we came back to where the mud is good holding.  The flopper stoppers are doing a reasonable job though, so it’s not too bad.
