Today the seller accepted our offer. The only modification was a specification of “as is”. Some research has revealed him to be a mega millionaire, and we suspected that this was his “yeah I’ll take that price – only with zero hassle factor”. Dunno if that was actually the case or not. We later learned from another of the condo owners in our complex that “as is” is common in Mexico. Some cultural thing reasons for which are not clear.
In any case, we accepted the offer! Now we will be waiting some more as between Christmas and New Years everything is closed. Can’t schedule the inspection, can’t get the financials, can’t get the insurance data. So we wait…
