There are two seats on the stern that are teak. They were originally varnished, but the varnish had largely worn away years ago and most of the teak had silvered. The spots where the varnish was still stuck to the wood made the seats look even worse. So Melissa sanded them down and refinished them. That is after she went to the hardware store for another sanding block after the first one went sploosh after she finished the first board. The second one got a string tied to it. The two small seats sucked down about 4oz of teak oil. They were thirsty!
