Nombre De Dios

The Turtle Cay Marina is just outside a town called Nombre De Dios.  According to Wikipedia, "Nombre de Dios is the oldest continually populated town in the Americas. Originally a major port of call for the Spanish treasure fleet, Nombre de Dios was the most significant port for shipping in the Americas between 1540 and 1580."  We had heard there was a store where we could get a few provisions, so we figured we would head in to see the old town and have some lunch.  Alas, the store was about the size of a gas station market back home.  And while it carried everything from pliers to eggs, there wasn't much in the way of fresh veggies.  We didn't even stop for lunch as the few restaurants didn't look like much more than a couple of dusty picnic tables set outside someone's home.  Not that we are opposed to eating just about anything anywhere at this point.  But hey, the store had hot dog buns, and we still have hot dogs in the freezer!
