We left Refuge Cove and shot the Yuculta and Dent Rapids. Dave was super nervous about this having heard the many horror stories about boats getting turned over in them. But as he hit the timing square on the money, Melissa didn’t even know there were any rapids. We spent the evening at a place called Blind Channel Resort. Super cute place with a nice restaurant. Kenmore Air flys in here and it might be a spot to meet up with friends. They also have one cabin for rent in case the timing doesn’t quite line up. We decided we need to develop a morning briefing routine where Dave fills Melissa in on his plans for the day and what the weather reports are telling him.
Tonight Melissa had energy for the first time in months. Having been suffering from a general lack of energy and a weird muscle weakness for quite some time now, she has been hoping that some fresh air and lack of work stress might help. However, she now suspects that some drug she has been taking may be to blame. Three days ago she quit taking everything she normally takes from vitamins to her ulcer medication (nothing that would cause anything serious). And what do you know – within a few days she is feeling like her old self. Dave about fell off the boat when Melissa said she wanted to go for a Kayak ride.
